Retail Sales Assistant – Plymouth | Full-Time | Customer Service & Sales

Location: Plymouth
Salary: DOE + salary review after JET training
Job Type: Full-Time (37.1 hours per week)
Hours: 9:15am – 5:10pm, 5 days per week
Sector: Retail / Customer Service

The Opportunity

We are recruiting for a Retail Sales Assistant to join a successful lifestyle and home retail store in Plymouth.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for retail, sales, and customer service who enjoys working in a customer-focused, fast-paced environment. You’ll play a key role in delivering an outstanding shopping experience while supporting store performance and sales growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service and create a welcoming in-store experience
  • Drive sales performance through product knowledge and customer engagement
  • Support the team in achieving store targets and KPIs
  • Process transactions accurately (cash and card)
  • Manage and replenish stock levels using internal systems
  • Maintain high standards of visual merchandising and store presentation
  • Build and maintain the customer database
  • Deliver excellent after-sales service, including handling queries and complaints
  • Follow company sales processes and procedures
  • Ensure store cleanliness, organisation, and security standards are met

Candidate Requirements

  • Previous experience in retail sales or customer service preferred
  • Confident using POS/till systems (Bransom experience beneficial)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Positive, proactive, and team-oriented approach
  • High attention to detail and pride in store presentation
  • Reliable, honest, and motivated

Working Pattern

  • 5 days per week (including Saturdays)
  • Day off typically Tuesday
