Retail Sales Advisor – Christchurch

Our well respected high end retail client in Christchurch is looking for a motivated Retail Sales Advisor to join their successful showroom team. Working within a beautifully presented showroom, you will guide customers through a wide range of premium products, offering expert advice and recommendations to help them make informed purchasing decisions. - Full-time position working 5 days per week, 9:00am – 5:30pm
- Weekend working on a rota basis
Key Responsibilities
As a Retail Sales Advisor, you will:
- Welcome customers and provide a warm, professional shopping experience
- Identify customer needs through effective questioning and product discovery
- Offer expert product advice and recommend suitable solutions
- Promote current in-store offers and sales campaigns
- Maximise sales opportunities through upselling and cross-selling
- Generate and manage customer leads using the CRM system
- Follow up enquiries to maximise conversion rates and customer satisfaction
- Communicate with customers face-to-face, by phone, email, and digital channels
- Process sales orders accurately and efficiently
- Handle cash and card transactions
- Contribute to achieving individual and team sales targets
Skills & Experience Required
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience in retail sales, showroom sales, customer service, or a similar customer-facing role
- A passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Confidence working towards sales targets and KPIs
- A proactive and self-motivated approach
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office 365, Word, and Excel
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
