Junior Mechanical Services Engineer Job in Ringwood

 Our successful, knowledgeable and team spirited business in Ringwood are recruiting a new addition to their team. They are seeking a Junior Mechanical Services Engineer to join. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to begin a career in the mechanical services installation industry. You’ll gain a solid grounding in all aspects of mechanical building services, working closely with engineers, project managers, and estimators on live projects. Over time, you’ll develop the skills and experience needed to progress into a specialist role in project management, estimating, or design.

 Salary and Benefits:

  • A salary of £25,000 – £30,000 DOE per annum
  • 8:00 am – 5:00 pm Monday to Friday (1-hour lunch)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with mechanical installations and commissioning work
  • Support Project Managers with project coordination and documentation
  • Assist Estimators with preparing quotations and take-offs
  • Complete technical take-offs from drawings and specifications
  • Carry out drawing administration and maintain accurate technical records
  • Produce O&M (Operation & Maintenance) manuals for completed projects
  • Provide office administration support as required
  • Communicate effectively with engineers, clients, and suppliers
  • Ensure all work is completed to company standards and health & safety procedures
  • You’ll receive comprehensive training and mentoring, including AutoCAD training, project management, estimating, and design functions

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Minimum GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths, English, and Science
  • Positive, enthusiastic, and willing to learn
  • Strong team player with good communication skills
  • Resilient and adaptable – able to handle changing workloads
  • Must live within a 45-minute drive of Ringwood
  • Public transport links are limited, so a driving licence or ability to walk to work is essential
  • Flexible approach – this is not a standard 9–5 job, and occasional extra hours may be required
  • After 2–3 years, you’ll have the opportunity to specialise and progress into a more focused role aligned with your strengths and career goals.
