Trainee Hire Desk Controller Job in Ringwood

The Trainee Hire Desk Assistant is a vital part of the operations for both Sales and Customer Services. On a day-to-day basis, you can expect to be desk-based, making regular contact with stock teams, sales reps and various depots around the UK to ensure minimal delay in fulfilling the needs of the customer. 

Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Receiving enquiries from customers, and actioning  
  • Liaising with the depot staff to build your knowledge, and gain information on stock availability  
  • Using an established database of 3rd party suppliers and hauliers to arrange transport of products to and from the depots 
  • Coordinating movements with customers, providing an excellent level of service throughout the process 
  • Ensuring all details are entered accurately onto the system 
  • Assisting in the completion of asset and stock counts 
  • Customer invoicing and account support 

This is a fast-paced position where this trainee position will build your knowledge of company services, relationships with key partners and colleagues, and problem solve along the way.  Minimum Experience Required: 

  • Strong communication skills 
  • Well organised with a keen eye for detail 
  • Ability to multitask 
  • Team Player 

Salary & Details 

  • £24,000.00 
  • 20 days holiday + bank holidays 
  • Free Parking 
  • Monday – Friday 8.30am – 5pm 
  • 1 hour lunch 
  • Pension contributions
