Overview

Senior Finance Assistant Job in Ringwood

Dovetail Recruitment are pleased to be recruiting for a Senior Finance Assistant. You will love the day to day of finance duties and want a varied role where you can assist with month end reporting, cash flow forecasting and become the right hand person to the General Manager from a day to day finance point of view. You will also be working alongside the part time Accounts Administrator.

Salary & Benefits:

  • Salary of up to £40,000
  • 28 days holiday PLUS bank holidays
  • Monday – Friday hours 8.50am to 4.50pm (with flexibility if needed)

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Management of the finance mailbox, responding to emails and resolving queries in a timely manner.
  • Purchase Ledger
    • Invoice processing with attention to detail and accuracy
    • Supplier statement reconciliations
    • Allocation of supplier payments to invoices
    • Dealing with supplier invoice queries
    • Preparing weekly payments list
    • Maintaining Factory Sheet – logging invoices, pro-forma payments, deliveries
    • Maintaining accurate aged creditors
    • Setting up payments
    • Processing employee expenses and credit card receipts
    • Raising Purchase Orders on behalf of various departments
  • Sales Ledger
    • Processing debit notes
    • Allocation of customer receipts to invoices
  • Cash Book
    • Bank reconciliations
    • Allocation of supplier payments and customer receipts
    • Resolution of allocation discrepancies
    • Supplier payments
  • Helping to complete month end within strict deadlines
  • Reporting – assisting the Finance Manager with
    • Cash flow forecasting
    • Sales provision calculations
    • Bad debt provision calculations
    • Aged debtor and aged creditor reports
    • Accruals and prepayments

Minimum Experience:

  • Experience with Sage 200 (Sage 50 will also be considered)
  • 3 years of experience within a finance or accounts position
  • Experience with cashflow forecasting
