Account Manager Job in Ringwood

Location: Ringwood, Hampshire (Office-based)

Salary: £DOE per annum

Job Type: Full-time, office based working Monday – Friday 9.00 am – 5.00 pm

Travel: International travel required at certain times of the year

Our client is a very successful and well established global FMCG supplier business who works with leading retailers and manufacturers worldwide, bringing creativity, quality and innovation to the market. Due to continued growth, our client is looking for a commercially minded Account Manager to join their sales team. The Account Manager role focuses on managing and developing existing US customer accounts, overseeing projects from concept through to delivery, and delivering exceptional service to some of the largest retailers and manufacturers in the United States.

Key Responsibilities:

As US Account Manager, you will:

  • Manage and grow relationships with key US retail and manufacturing customers
  • Act as the main point of contact, ensuring outstanding customer service and smooth day-to-day account management
  • Identify opportunities to expand existing accounts through new ranges, seasonal projects and product development
  • Lead customer projects from brief through to delivery, coordinating timelines, requirements and internal teams
  • Oversee relevant new product development (NPD), including briefing the art team and managing design feedback
  • Manage project commercials, pricing and negotiations to ensure competitiveness while protecting margin
  • Liaise with internal departments including logistics, warehouse, finance and marketing to ensure deadlines and specifications are met
  • Coordinate with external suppliers throughout the lifecycle of customer projects
  • Support wider business development activity alongside the International Business Development Manager when required

About You:

You will be commercially sharp, highly organised and comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining strong attention to detail.

Ideally, you will be:

  • A confident communicator and relationship builder, able to engage with senior stakeholders
  • Commercially strong, with experience in negotiation and margin management
  • Highly organised, proactive and experienced in managing complex projects end-to-end
  • Passionate about product, design and delivering high-quality customer outcomes
  • Comfortable using MS Office and working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Customer-focused, with a commitment to delivering products to specification, on time and to the highest standards

Minimum Experience Required

  • Proven experience in account management, sales or customer project management within FMCG
  • Experience working with retailers or large manufacturing customers
