Dovetail Recruitment are recruiting a Senior FMCG Product Manager with food industry experience to lead product development and innovation for a business supplying major UK and international retailers across ambient grocery, healthy snacking and confectionery.

This Senior Product Manager role focuses on New Product Development (NPD), food formulation, product innovation and project management. You will manage products from concept through to retail launch, working closely with suppliers, retailers and internal teams across product, technical, design and supply chain.

This opportunity would suit an experienced FMCG Product Manager, Food Product Manager, NPD Manager, Food Product Developer or Project Manager with food industry experience.

Role Responsibilities

As Senior Product Manager, you will lead multiple food product development projects across FMCG categories, ensuring products meet taste, nutritional, quality and commercial targets while delivering successful retail launches.

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead New Product Development (NPD) from concept to retail launch
• Develop and optimise food formulations considering taste, nutrition, quality and cost
• Manage product development critical paths and project timelines
• Lead product tastings, benchmarking and sensory evaluation sessions
• Deliver product presentations and innovation proposals to retail customers
• Use consumer trends and market insights to shape product innovation
• Collaborate with technical, supply chain, design and buying teams
• Work with suppliers and manufacturers to deliver successful product launches

Skills and Experience

To be successful in this Senior Product Manager FMCG role, you will have experience within food product development or food NPD.

Requirements include:

• Around 5+ years’ experience in FMCG product development or food NPD
• Experience within food manufacturing, FMCG or retail supply
• Knowledge of ingredients, flavour development and sensory analysis
• Experience managing product launches and development critical paths
• Ability to manage multiple product development projects simultaneously
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
