Graduate Technologist – Non-Food (Scientific/Product Development)
Location: Christchurch, Dorset (Hybrid: 3 days office / 2 days home)
Salary: £30,000 per annum

About the Role
Kickstart your career in product development! We’re seeking a motivated recent graduate with a scientific or product-related degree to join a dynamic, entrepreneurial global company specializing in manufacturing and design. Based in Christchurch, Dorset, this hybrid role involves working three days from the office and two days from home. Occasional travel to Berry up North and other locations will also be required.

You’ll work alongside industry experts and partner with leading retailers to develop innovative non-food products across categories including Reusable Bags, Health & Beauty, Household Goods, and Impulse Snacking.

This role offers fantastic exposure to technical product development, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and new product launches within a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Occasional international travel will give you insight into global manufacturing and supply chains.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support new product development and innovation initiatives across non-food categories
  • Collaborate with international technical teams to ensure compliance, safety, and quality standards
  • Assist with product testing, regulatory checks, and specification development
  • Review packaging, artwork, and labelling for regional compliance
  • Maintain internal and customer-facing technical databases
  • Support the full New Product Development lifecycle from concept to launch
  • Attend factory trials, pre-production runs, and product launches, including some international travel
  • Stay updated on industry trends and innovations by attending trade shows and events
  • Promote company values around sustainability, innovation, and ethical manufacturing

Who We’re Looking For

  • Recent graduate with a degree in Chemistry, Product Design, Engineering, or related scientific/product field
  • Strong organisational skills with great attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Proactive learner with an interest in compliance, sustainability, and product development
  • Previous internships or experience in product development or retail/manufacturing environments are advantageous but not essential
