PRODUCT DEVELOPER JOB IN FERNDOWN

We are pleased to say that our dynamic client are now recruiting for a Product Developer. They are a fast-paced company with incredible growth, and they require a highly focused candidate to commercially research and creatively develop product ranges and specifications for effective manufacturing to support customer growth and sales.

Responsibilities and Duties include:

  • Working with the Account Management team to help build and interpret the customer account roadmap for the next 12-18 months. Looking ahead at international and local trends in the marketplace both within UK and overseas, bringing these validated and documented insights back into local country relevant line lists that we can confidently propose to our customers.
  • Working with the QA team as required to ensure accurate and robust documentation of draft, buying and final production specifications.
  • Ensuring that the manufacturing partners can price accurately and produce to the right standards and specification.
  • Working across the Product team to help develop category and promotional ranges.
  • You will be regularly liaising with both internal and external stakeholders, so naturally you’ll be extremely organised and like to ensure you’ve documented your work and communicated information clearly, concisely and commercially
  • You will attend both internal and external meetings to support the quality and on time delivery of customer orders.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • You will have at least two years’ experience in a similar product development role.
  • Working knowledge of detailed product specifications
  • Experience of working with Far East/European production facilities/suppliers.

Salary and Benefits:

  • A salary of £DOE per annum
  • Monday to Friday working hours.
  • The role will involve international travel from time to time to attend retail trade fairs.
  • Working in positive and friendly organisational culture
