Retail Sales Assistant – Plymouth | Full-Time | Customer Service & Sales
Location: Plymouth
Salary: DOE + salary review after JET training
Job Type: Full-Time (37.1 hours per week)
Hours: 9:15am – 5:10pm, 5 days per week

The Opportunity
We are recruiting for a Retail Sales Assistant to join a successful lifestyle and home retail store in Plymouth.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for retail, sales, and customer service who enjoys working in a customer-focused, fast-paced environment. You’ll play a key role in delivering an outstanding shopping experience while supporting store performance and sales growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service and create a welcoming in-store experience
- Drive sales performance through product knowledge and customer engagement
- Support the team in achieving store targets and KPIs
- Process transactions accurately (cash and card)
- Manage and replenish stock levels using internal systems
- Maintain high standards of visual merchandising and store presentation
- Build and maintain the customer database
- Deliver excellent after-sales service, including handling queries and complaints
- Follow company sales processes and procedures
- Ensure store cleanliness, organisation, and security standards are met
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service preferred
- Confident using POS/till systems (Bransom experience beneficial)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Positive, proactive, and team-oriented approach
- High attention to detail and pride in store presentation
- Reliable, honest, and motivated
