Are you an experienced retail professional with a passion for customer service and luxury products? Do you enjoy leading by example, motivating a team, and driving sales performance?

We are recruiting for a Retail Assistant Manager to join a premium retail business in Salisbury. Working closely with the Store Manager, you will support the day-to-day running of the store, lead the team on the shop floor, and help deliver an exceptional customer experience.

This role would suit someone from a luxury retail, jewellery, fashion, boutique, homeware, or premium customer service background who is looking to take the next step in their retail management career.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in the day-to-day running of the store
• Lead and motivate the sales team to achieve sales targets and deliver excellent customer service
• Take responsibility for the store in the Manager’s absence
• Conduct daily team briefings and communicate store KPIs
• Monitor sales performance and identify opportunities to maximise results
• Maintain high standards of visual merchandising and store presentation
• Delegate tasks effectively and support team development
• Handle escalated customer enquiries and complaints professionally
• Assist with deliveries, stock management, and administrative duties
• Ensure company security procedures are followed at all times
• Contribute ideas to improve store performance, customer experience, and team engagement

Skills & Experience Required

• Previous experience as an Assistant Manager, Supervisor, Team Leader, or Senior Sales Advisor within a retail environment
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and support a team
• Experience working towards sales targets and KPIs
• Luxury retail or consultative one-to-one sales experience would be advantageous
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Confident making decisions and taking initiative in a busy retail environment
• Positive, professional, and customer-focused approach
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

Salary & Benefits

• Competitive salary dependent on experience
• 20 days holiday plus Bank Holidays
• Full-time position working 5 days per week
• One fixed weekday off plus Sunday
• Working hours: 8:45am – 5:10pm
