Part Time Finance Assistant Job in Ringwood

Dovetail Recruitment are excited to be recruiting for a new Part Time Finance Assistant to join a steadily growing company based in Ringwood. Our client works on a variety of nationwide construction projects. Their priority is offering a reliable and honest service with great product quality, safe working practice and commitment to customer satisfaction at the forefront of their ethos.

The Part Time Finance Assistant will maintain the overall accuracy of the accounts, ledgers and financial records within their remit. They’ll perform a range of administrative and clerical tasks on a day-to-day basis to keep accounts up to date. This role presents an opportunity to be a part of a friendly and supportive team and assist in vital finance functions within this growing organisation.

Responsibilities:

Credit Control

  • Resolving outstanding payments and sending collection statements, ensuring customers pay on time and charge them for overdue invoices.
  • Setting up repayments and working with Debt Counsellors.
  • Updating account information and records of clients.
  • Assisting with audits and checking for discrepancies in financial accounts.
  • Ensuring that financial records meet with company standards.
  • Compiling financial reports.

Purchase Ledger

  • Bookkeeping
  • Recording and filing invoices
  • Payment processing with Head Office
  • Calculating VAT payments
  • Accurate data entry
  • Communicating with externals vendors and suppliers
  • Compiling company reports
  • Monitoring payments via BACS

Minimum Experience Requirements:

  • Knowledge of SAP system preferred
  • Month-End invoicing experience
  • Purchase Ledger experience a benefit but not essential

Salary and Benefits:

  • Salary £13-14 per hour
  • 20 days holiday + bank holidays
  • Around 20 hours per week
  • Free Parking
  • Pension contributions
