Part Time Compliance Officer Job in Ferndown

Dovetail Recruitment are proud to be working with a well-established financial services company based in the Ferndown area. They are recruiting a new Part Time Compliance Officer appointment to join their team. The Part Time Compliance Officer will be responsible for overseeing the daily compliance operation functions. The successful candidate will have excellent regulatory reporting, strong analytical skills, and a commercial mindset.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Day-to-day compliance and overseeing the daily operations related to compliance within the company
  • Regulatory interpretation and communicate the latest relevant regulatory, legislative, and industry standard changes
  • Develop and update company compliance policies and procedures
  • Conduct training to ensure the company’s internal structure adheres to the FCA’s guidelines
  • Ensure a consistently high level of service is provided to clients through regular file checks
  • Develop and oversee control systems to maintain adherence to regulations and internal policies
  • Continuously evaluate and improve the efficiency of controls
  • Revise procedures and reports as necessary
  • Conduct one-on-one meetings with advisers
  • Monitor individual key performance indicators
  • Manage external compliance audits

Minimum Experience Required:

  • Minimum Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning
  • Demonstrable experience in a compliance role within the financial services sector
  • In-depth understanding of FCA standards and regulations
  • Excellent knowledge of reporting procedures and record-keeping practices
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Solution and service-oriented mindset
  • Technology-savvy with a willingness to embrace new systems and software
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills
  • Organised multi-tasker with effective prioritisation skills

Salary and Benefits:

  • A salary of £30,000 per annum for 25 hours per week
  • Working Monday to Friday with flexible working hours
  • Hybrid working available
  • Company pension scheme
  • Onsite parking
