Mechanical Design Engineer Job in Ringwood

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join a very successful and highly respected Building Services company based in Ringwood. Our client provide a full range of Mechanical and Electrical Building Services from design through to installation and commissioning to various sectors including commercial, industrial, healthcare, residential, and retail, with contract values ranging from £100k up to £1m. You will need to be an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer, with experience working within the Mechanical Building Services sector.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide Mechanical Design expertise on complex mechanical assignments
  • Create and develop functional designs for mechanical structures
  • Create, design and document specifications and drawings using CAD software while ensuring designs meet functional, safety and regulatory standards
  • Creating project/job pack documentation
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to determine project requirements
  • Prepare engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications
  • Perform project analysis

Minimum Skills and Experience Required for the Mechanical Design Engineer:

  • A qualification in Mechanical Engineering
  • A background working in Mechanical Engineering, and strong knowledge in the principles Mechanical Design
  • Experience with CAD tools
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills

Salary and Benefits:

  • A salary of £35,000 – £50,000 per annum
